Fees and quote.
How the first consultation works and how I set the fees for each case. With honesty and no surprises.
The first conversation.
The first consultation is free and lasts between 20 and 30 minutes. It is a conversation, not a commitment. I listen, I explain how your case looks from a legal point of view, and I tell you whether I can help or not. If it is not my area or I do not see a clear path, I tell you frankly.
If we decide to proceed, I send you a written quote with clear figures before any work begins.
How the quote is structured.
Fixed quote
A fixed amount agreed at the outset. I use it for successions, contracts, cases where the scope of work is predictable. No surprises: what is in the quote is what you pay.
Fees by stage
For longer cases, I divide the work into stages. You pay on completion of each stage. Useful for international successions and complex family cases.
On success (in specific cases)
In some financial matters where Argentine law allows it, I can work on a percentage of the result obtained. No result, no fee. We assess it case by case.
What is included and what is not.
Included
- • Case analysis and strategy
- • Drafting of pleadings and documents
- • Scheduled hearings and appearances
- • Regular communication on progress
- • Coordination with other professionals where applicable
Not included (always quoted separately)
- · Argentine court fees and professional contributions
- · Fees of experts, sworn translators, notaries
- · Apostille, legalisation and sworn-translation costs
- · Extraordinary steps and travel
For matters governed by the law of your own country (e.g. coordination with your local lawyer for the inheritance filing with your tax authority), the fees of the professional at home are agreed separately with that professional. The free initial consultation covers the Argentine part only.
