About the firm.
Are you licensed to practice law in my country?
No. I am an attorney admitted in Argentina (Colegio de Abogados de Rosario, Federal registration). For the part of a case governed by the law of your own country you need a lawyer or notary there. I coordinate the work with the professional you choose.
What languages do you work in?
Spanish (native), Italian and English. Meetings with international clients are held in whichever of the three you prefer.
Do you work alone or with a team?
I have a personal practice with a network of specialised collaborators I bring in case by case: experts, notaries, sworn translators, professionals in Italy and Spain. The client relationship is always directly with me.
What are your working hours?
Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 (Argentine time, GMT-3). For clients in Europe I arrange meetings at times that work with the time difference.
About the cases.
Can I hire you if I live abroad and inherited assets in Argentina?
Yes. This is the typical case clients consult me for. We work remotely by video call and a notarized power of attorney, and you do not need to travel to Argentina at any stage of the case, except in rare situations. I coordinate directly with your lawyer or notary at home for the part governed by your country's law.
Do I have to travel to Argentina for the case?
No, except in truly exceptional situations. The whole process is handled remotely with a notarized power of attorney (apostilled, translated) that authorises me to represent you. Meetings are held by video call.
What happens if there are several heirs and we do not agree?
The probate opens anyway. Disputes between co-heirs are resolved in stages: first the declaration of heirs, then the inventory, then the distribution. Each step has its legal path. I always seek mediation first, but if we have to litigate, we litigate.
Can you handle the part of my case in my own country?
No. For matters governed by the law of your own country you need a local lawyer. I handle the Argentine part, in coordination with your lawyer at home. The part in your country stays with the professional you choose.
Do you do video calls?
Yes. It is the most frequent format, above all with clients in Italy and Spain. I use Google Meet or Zoom, as you prefer.
On fees and procedures.
How much is the initial consultation?
It is free. It lasts 20 to 30 minutes and it is a conversation, not a commitment. If we decide to proceed, you receive a written quote with clear figures before any work begins.
Do you accept cases entirely online, without meeting in person?
Yes. I regularly work with clients in Italy, Spain and other Argentine provinces. Video calls work well for most cases. For clients abroad this is almost always the model.
Can I pay in instalments?
It depends on the case. For fixed fees above a certain amount I accept two or three instalments spread over the life of the case. We agree it before signing the engagement.
How much does an international succession cost?
It depends on the value of the estate and the complexity. I give you an indicative range at the initial consultation. For standard international-succession cases with a single property and up to 3 heirs, the fees fall within a band I agree case by case. No surprises: a written quote before starting.
